Group Home

The Group Home provides supported accommodation for people with a disability who require rostered 24-hour support.

The Group Home delivers quality of life and quality of outcomes for the residents of the home.

The home focuses on four primary areas:

  • The centrality and active participation of the person with disability and their family in identifying and following through on needs, goals and plans. People should, as far as possible, be able to lead self directed, fulfilling lives.
  • People have the right to make choices, change their minds and make mistakes.
  • An environment in which people with disability are valued respected and treated with dignity.
  • Supported accommodation that provides a homelike environment, which provides a safe, secure, supportive and inclusive place to live.

Support is individually planned and provided, and will be of sufficient time and quality to allow people with disability to live satisfying and independent lives.

The Group Home is funded by Queensland Department of Communities: Disability and Community Care Services.
